The
Chitimacha District is located on the east bank of Jefferson Parish Louisiana,
in the Metairie area. Boundries are from the 17th Street Canal
to David Drive, and from the Mississippi River to Lake Ponchartrain.
District Meetings
Our District
Committee meets on the First Tuesday of each month at Lakeside
Hospital.
The and Boy
Scout District Roundtables meet together on the second Tuesday of every
month at 7:30 pm. Our current location is the Jefferson Parish East Bank
Library meeting rooms A & B. The library is located at 4747 West Napolean
Ave in Metairie.
The Chitimacha
Chapter of the Order of the Arrow meets on the second Tuesday of each
month, at 6:30 pm. There current location is the Jefferson Parish East Bank
Library. Located at 4747 West Napolean Ave.
Our Mission
To provide a
Quality District Program to the Scouts and Adult Leaders of the Chitimacha
District.
To encourage each
Scout and Adult leader to take advantage of all of the resources of the
Southeast Louisiana Council.
To assist unit
leaders in any way possible in order to maintain a quality unit program.
